Since then the band have been busy touring, bringing their music to the world. Expanding the group to perform live MGMT have added some severe live muscle. However the Brooklyn duo are always writing new material, and have apparently been working with Jay-z on The Blueprint 3.
Speaking to Triple J the group confirmed the news, claiming that Jay-z invited them to take part. "Just for one track. Singing and playing instruments. We made a beat but we don’t really know if they’re going to use it or not. They haven’t even mixed it yet I don’t think. But hopefully they will. If they do it’s a really crazy beat to be in a song like that."
