BIRTH OF 'AUTO-TUNE': Jay-Z enters the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 24 with "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)." The track previews "The Blueprint 3," due Sept. 11.
The song marks Jay-Z's 55th Hot 100 appearance, breaking him out of a tie with Madonna.
Jay-Z, who first drew Hot 100 ink April 6, 1996, owns the most chart hits of any artist who first appeared on the survey in the '90s. R. Kelly, a veteran of the chart since 1992, ranks second among acts arriving in the '90s with 48 Hot 100 hits.
Run This Town in Billboard Airplay charts
WOW It premiered on Friday and ALREADY debuted at Hot 100 Airplay at #169.
It's very good, because, for example Britney's Radar is #170 and Beyonce's Sweet Dreams is #836 and they were released months ago...
UPDATE
On R&B airplay the song is #70
The song is already No. 105 on the hot 100 airplay and
47 on the RNB airplay!
Unbelievable.
Shout-out to ngwari for all the info!
