In addition to speaking on Jay's firm grip on the rap game, Chris also explained why his Roc-A-Fella mentor is often criticized.
"The influence he had on me is substantial," Chris said in an interview. "That man is just the best that ever did it. He's just inspiration and motivation just to see how he work today. The wealth he at, just lets me know I have to stay at it. It's a grind, got a long way to go man. That man's a multi-millionaire and still goes in. Business. [He'll continue rapping] 'til he drop. Jay got it man, he can do whatever he want man. He runs this town. He's still got it. He's still got it man, that's my boy. You know what it is, he's the best at it. So the expectations are set high, sometimes you're set up for failure 'cause people are expecting the best. Then they compare it to the old Jay...He's seen more, he's experienced culture. People stuck in time 'cause they don't go nowhere."
