In one of the other facebook groups where all things Roc Nation is discussed, a member had posted this on August 09th: "What Would Shyne bring to Roc Nation"
Here is what I answered that day:
Didn't Shyne release with Bad Boy circa the whole Y2K stuff or shortly thereafter?
1st... Jadakiss again references Shyne in his song What If? from his 2009 album The Last Kiss where he raps "What if Shyne beat the case/ What if Diddy did a dime flat" Jada even mentioned him in "Why?"
Seems to me he is REAL and REAL RECOGNIZE REAL...
What if ROC NATION signed Shyne?
Well... The Game (rapper) references Shyne in his song "The Documentary" from the album of the same name, where he raps: "If you cross my T, I'll dot your eyes. You'd do life in a cemetery, I'll do mine with shyne".He is also Mentioned in the Song "Never Be Friends/Valley of Death" off the "Black Monday" Mixtape,"let's go find a victim I can’t do it homie that’s the reason Shyne in prison" also in in the song "Start from scratch" where he says "when you a bad boy niggas don't wanna see you shine".
Now, would GAME say "F*CK JAY-Z" if Shyne was sitting right next to HOV?
I don't think so.
I think personally, Shyne would be great on ROC NATION for the simple fact that he is mad talented. Perhaps, Shyne could be involved in Bleek's Get Low as well, since I am a huge fan of Bleek and Uncle Murda too. Shyne adds an attitude to the new Roc Nation roster and also lets the world see that Jay-Z does indeed recognize "real" because it takes someone as real as Jay-Z to remember Shyne and give him the nod in 2010, since it was only back in August of 2009 and on the 6th that Shyne was released.
