I absolutely love this song because you really can't knock the hustle. This is one of my favorite songs of Jay-Z and comes from the first album I actually bought from Jigga Man. There is nothing like live music and an actual live band because of the atmosphere that is created. The song was performed by Jay-Z, Mary J Blige and The Roots. I found this video on YouTube.com and luckily the sound quality is on point.
Jay-Z's and Kanye's track of the Watch The Album "Otis" just leaked online a couple of hours ago and after hearing it the first time it promises some nice "sampling" tracks. We love how Kanye just chops up classic songs and stuffs in a track.
The God HOVA starts the track with: "I invented swag, poppin bottles, putting supermodels in a cab"
Then Kanye drops in with: Damn Yeezy and Hov where the hell ya been. Niggas starting talking real reckless, I adopt these niggas, fill the drama in, now Im about to tuck their whole summer in"
Most probably this track was made when he was in the Mercer Hotel, cause Jay-Z then spits: "Live from the Mercer, run up the wrong way on Yeezy, I might murc ya". That is some real nucca shiit. Actually this track reminds me of "Coming of Age" ft. Memphis Bleek aint it? But the track is in a more violent state, it is like they are protecting the Throne, and therefore more or less this track explains a little bit more about the concept of this album. We think it is going to be an album where Yeezy and Hovi Hov are going to go at rappers because they have accomplished so much and still get bad credit.
Yeezy continues after this with a nice punch: "I made Jesus walk, so I am never going to hell".
Later Jigga spits what is the headline of his entire life: "Driving benzes, with no benefits, not bad huh for some imigrants".
At the end the brothers sample Wale's track with: Ye is chilling, Jay is chilling, what more can I say for killing them
All in all it promises some ruff tracks that us the hardcore Jigga family really wants to hear.
Kanye dropped his first track with Jigga this morning called H.A.M. Track starts out something like "Some People Hate" BP2 but becomes quite dark in the end. It's a good start for the first track. Again, Jigga puts the rivalry on rest saying:
"I'm like really half a billion nigga Really, you got baby money"
[Verse 1: Kanye West] It was all good just a week ago Niggas feel theyselves And they watch The Throne drop Niggas kill themselves What are niggas gon' do Hov?
