Jay-z will make his first American festival appearance at All Points West in Jersey City on July 31, festival organizers announced late Wednesday. He is a nearly-last-minute replacement for the Beastie Boys, who said on Monday that they were canceling all their concert dates because one member of the group, Adam Yauch (a.k.a MCA), has throat cancer.
