Send in By Lauren who met Beyonce in the UK, also the same Lauren who got a special shoutout at Jay-Z's concert:
When I think about it, it's hard to decide who I prefer: Jay-Z or Beyoncé. Beyoncé is the woman I immediately loved from the moment I heard Bills, Bills, Bills at the tender age of eight. The woman who inspires women everywhere embrace their unique beauty; she reminds us that you don't have to be a size zero to be beautiful. Jay-Z: the man with the swag. The author of an album I begged my mum for from when I heard Hard Knock Life on Top of the Pops; he proves it is possible to turn your life around even if you make wrong decisions to begin with.
Sunday July 4th: I traveled down to London to go to the Wireless festival, where Jay-Z was performing with my friend, Grace (@gracedee8). We were both so excited that we barely slept, and in her case no sleep at all! Before we left she asked where my poster was and told me I should bring it. (Jay had previously shouted out my poster in the Manchester show because it said Hova's a BlackBerry Bold LAUREN is YOUR sidekick and he rapped it back to me =D) I wasn't too excited about carrying around a poster for a weekend but we ended up bringing it (THANKS GRACE!) We arrived in London and met our girls Shehnaz (@shehnazkhan), Manda (@manda_fierce), Natalie (@NattieNoNo), Kayla (@Kaylaa_94) and fellow stan; George (@mrgeo16). Eleven hours of standing, and another shoutout from Jay-Z, later we decided to go Jayonce's hotel to get our fan on to see if we could spot either of them. We spotted Bey and shouted, Beyonce we love you through the doors of the hotel.... but the doorman shut the door on us... HARSH!
Monday July 5th: Grace, Manda, Shehnaz, George, Natalie, Regina (@ReginaAllanah ) and I went back to Jayonce's hotel, at around 10am. We had managed to convince ourselves soon enough that they must have already left as the cars we had seen them in the night before were nowhere to be seen. However, we were wrong. Soon after we spotted two cars arrive. Around 2pm a car pulls out... Jay-Z =D EEEEEEEKKK!!!! I shouted I LOVE YOU JAY-Z and I passed him my poster which he signed *DIES* He signed everything that we wanted signed before making an exit, whilst signing Regina's Yankee hat, onto the congested London road. 3.10pm, Grace and Myself were sat down and were shouted to by the other guys that they had spotted Beyonce approaching her car. She drove up slowly whilst we were all praying that she would stop. She did. Absolute legend =D. She began to roll down the window and as soon as we got a glimpse of our idol we all started having a fit!! She had to actually say Y'all have to calm down before winding back up the window for us to compose ourselves. She signed everything we had! Including Manda and Shehnaza's Blackberry's, My bottle of Heat, and she even signed the poster I had made for Jay-Z! =D. We all told her how much we loved her and how beautiful she is and she was lovely. She looked each and every one of us in the eye, said thank you to us all and Shehnaz got a special thank you for making the UK fan book: Thank you, it was beautiful. Now, as much love as I have for Jay... and BELIEVE me it's a LOT of love =D... I have to say that meeting Beyoncé was by FAR the best moment of my LIFE! It's not many people that can say that they met their idol, but I met mine. I also couldn't have asked for it to have happened with better people =D I love all you guys! <3
Love,
Lauren (the sidekick)/@Brownsugar1990
